How Your Pay, Taxes & Contributions Work on VirtualStaff.ph
A simple, transparent system where you keep 100% of what you earn.
When you work with a business through VirtualStaff.ph, you’re hired as an independent contractor.
Here’s exactly what that means for you:
1. You keep 100% of your pay
VirtualStaff.ph does not take any percentage of your pay.
The client also does not deduct:
- SSS
- PhilHealth
- Pag-IBIG
- Withholding tax
- 13th month adjustments
- HR fees
- Admin fees
The amount you see in your offer is the exact amount you receive; it will be calculated as hours worked x hourly amount = amount you get paid in PHP.
You keep the full salary — with no deductions.
This is one of the main reasons many staff prefer VirtualStaff.ph over traditional BPOs.
2. Why there are no salary deductions
Because you're not classified as an employee of VirtualStaff.ph or the client (who’s based abroad).
Instead, you are an independent contractor, which means:
- You have full control over your own government contributions.
- You are responsible for filing your own tax returns.
- You can decide how much to contribute to SSS / PhilHealth / Pag-IBIG.
- Your take-home pay is often significantly higher than in a BPO with mandatory deductions.
3. You work directly with our client, we don’t dictate your work
The client sets:
- your work tasks
- your schedule
- your performance expectations
- your pay
You work directly with them, while using the VirtualStaff Seat System for:
- job offers
- attendance submissions
- timesheets
- salary payouts
4. How salary payments work
Salary is paid in 3 simple steps:
-
You submit your attendance and hours
Inside your VirtualStaff.ph account.
- Our client reviews and approves
They check your submitted hours and approve your salary. - We send your pay
Via our payment disbursment team, on behalf of our client paying through VirtualStaff.ph.
Everything stays safe, documented, and transparent.
All payments must be processed inside VirtualStaff.ph.
Payments outside the platform are not allowed.
This keeps you protected and ensures proper records for your work.
5. What about taxes and government contributions?
As an independent contractor:
- You file your own taxes.
- You may optionally register as a self-employed individual (many people do this).
- You may voluntarily contribute to SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
- You decide the contribution amounts and timing.
This gives you choice and higher take-home pay.
Why many people prefer this model:
- Higher overall income
- More flexibility
- You keep full control
- No forced deductions
- Remote work freedom
6. Why this model exists
Businesses in the USA, Australia, Canada, and the UK use VirtualStaff.ph to build their back-office teams.
Our model is designed to:
- keep your take-home pay high,
- let our clients hire great people in the Philippines,
- eliminate agency/BPO markups,
- create solid working relationships, and
- keep everything simple and transparent.
It’s fair for both sides — and it’s what makes the VirtualStaff Seat System work.
